When Lockport Central Square contacted us to address the faulty flashing repair work by others, we found a case of the typical "construction" contractor fooling around where he had no business doing so. The previous repairs were once again attempted with the quality-minded roofer's arch nemesis....roof cement.

We all know that quality is not achieved by the quick fix type of repair. We see it again here. The other repairman never got to the root of the problem, which was a lack of wall flashing securement. This allowed the wall flashings to droop and fail.

We removed the existing failed wall flashings and previously attempted repairs, cleaned the work area, and primed the brick. A modified bitumen membrane flashing was then torch-welded to both the roof field and masonry parapet wall. Aluminum termination bar was then installed at the top of the membrane wall flashing, secured to the masonry, and sealed with a heavy duty urethane sealant.

As is the case with the majority of our repair work, this repair will last longer than the rest of the roof.
