Illinois Commercial Roof Restoration

Roof restoration is basically a system of sealants and coatings available for many types of roofing systems that can bring your roof back into water-tight service without the need for full system replacement.

Your job site conditions will dictate what type of restoration system can be applied. For anything below a 4/12 roof pitch, we recommend Polyurea waterproofing membranes. For metal roofing with a pitch of 4/12 or greater, we still prefer the polyureas, but elastomeric acrylics may be able to handle the job if there are no rooftop curbs (HVAC stands, heater stack pipes, etc), little to no rust, very little building movement, and no current leakage.

For any roof below a 4/12 roof pitch, and any type of membrane roofing, polyurea membranes are the choice for long term waterproofing just about anything that we can think of. The water permeance rating of polyurea is much better than acrylics, even to the point of being able to indefinitely withstand ponding water. The elastomeric qualities, adhesion properties, and high resistance to fracture make this an ideal membrane for long term performance.
