Chicago, IL - Hybrid Built-Up Roofing Project:

Our customer for this project, located on Chicago's North side, was wise enough to go for the gold with this 20-year roof. When we informed her that most of the cost of her project was associated with the labor involved, she opted to purchase a roof with a 20 year membrane specification, which doubles the life expectancy of her beautiful new system. If you think about it, it makes good sense to double the life expectancy since, in most cases; it raises the project cost by approximately only 25%.

This roof will be trouble-free for a long time to come with the workmanship on this project warranted for ten years, and the material manufacturer warranty for 20 years.

Photo #2. Installing a wood fiber substrate board. This board flattens and smoothes the roof deck for a proper installation.
Photo #3. Our 2 ply base installed in hot asphalt. This gives us a durable waterproof base layer as well as temporary weatherproofing.
Photo #4. Our wall flashings are installed a minimum of 12" up the wall from the roof deck whenever possible and anchored to the masonry with heavy aluminum termination bar to keep your flashings from dis-bonding, and sealed using urethane sealants to ensure a long leak-free service life.
Photo #5. Finished roof with fire rated modified bitumen cap sheet installed. This is a torch-welded system, warrantable for 20 years by the material manufacturer.
